Similar to other commercial software packages, Drupal is upgraded in a cyclical manner. Approximately, every 12 months, a new version Drupal is released. Oftentimes, our clients have wanted to upgrade to leverage new features and functionality, however, it is not always necessary to upgrade the moment a new version has been released.

It is our experience that upgrading is a process best handled with assessment, proper planning and expertly guided.  We do all of these things for our enterprise clients and can do it for you. Recently, version 6.0 of Drupal was made available.  This will require some attention be given to your contributed modules as the upgrade may degrade performance. If you are currently running Drupal 4.7 or less, we are strongly recommending an upgrade because these legacy versions will now be unsupported, post Drupal 6.0.
