SANDCamp was this past weekend, and I had the pleasure of being able to present. The first half of the presentation was geared at improvements that can be utilized by small sites (app/db on the same server) to improve performance and increase capacity. The second half of the presentation - which I had to race through - was aimed at creating specialization (multi-server architectures) so that each server can take on particular responsibilities.
My hope is that the presentation had something in it for everyone: improvements for those with the smallest sites to those embarking on high-availability systems.
